Motocat, I have my mind on a looong leash, and when it wanders.....
Like today the temp got up around 74 and sunny. I set up my easel and did some painting. I started thinking about the late 70's and a TV show that played in the afternoon called MV3. It was hosted by Richard Blade. It was several years before MTV but the format was the same, except the video's he played included bands like the Pistols, Ramones, Wall of Voodoo, and more that my braincells have forgotten.
One band from that show has stuck in my head ever since. They were before Culture Club and Dexy's Midnight Runners but they were almost a cross of the two. The band was called Hazi Fantazi, I think their Lp was called Battle Hymns for Children. I remember 2 videos that were played. One was called Shiny Shiny and the other was John Wayne Is Big Leggy. I think the record company had a problem with them because the Lp was recalled and no mention of the band ever appeared . The 2 singer were Jeremiah and Kate.
Does any of this ring any bells for anyone here?

I remember them being on the flipside of a charity
picture disc twelve incher ( Siobhan Fahey then of Bananarama being on 'A' side ) but that's about it. I think they were very short-lived.

Motocat I like the way you think It was great
no lipsyncs no electronic drums music from the
HEART.
A true story
I live close to Winnipeg Manitoba the home of
Burton Cummings, Randy Bachman of the Guess
Who and Randy later of Bachman Turner
Overdrive. Anyway when the "Guess Who" come
out with American Woman probably the most
popular song of the time.Burton Cummings the
lead singer never wrote the song The band was
between practice sessions, Burton come out of
abreak came in and Belted out this song from
deep within him, had a session person not
"miked" the song it would never of come to
be. Because it was entirly ab libbed no lyrics
no nothing.(True story of American Woman)
Any way A story from yester year now most
music is manufactured and put out for our sore
ears.
Cheers to you and welcome to the
board.
